  • 8 oz rice noodles
  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 green onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. Toss sliced beef with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. Sear the beef for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned; remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, stir-fry red bell pepper and broccoli for 4-5 minutes, then add green onions, garlic, and ginger for another 1-2 minutes.
  5. Whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet along with cooked noodles; pour over the sauce and toss well to combine.
  7. Serve garnished with extra green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
