  • 1 can kidney beans (15 oz), drained and rinsed
  • 1 can black beans (15 oz), drained and rinsed
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground meat for about 5-7 minutes until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Transfer the browned meat to the slow cooker. Add kidney beans, black beans, crushed tomatoes, diced onion, minced garlic, diced bell pepper, spices, and broth.
