  • 3/4 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)

  • 3/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 13×9 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine yellow cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, sour cream, canned pumpkin, and pumpkin pie spice. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
  3. Pour 2 cups of batter into the greased pan for the first layer.
  4. In a small bowl, mix chopped walnuts and brown sugar; sprinkle over the first layer of batter.
  5. Spoon the remaining batter over the walnut mixture and spread evenly.
