  • 4 ounces dark chocolate
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (170°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil and grease lightly.
  2. Melt butter and dark chocolate together in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat, stir in sugar, then add eggs one by one.
  3. Mix in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, egg, vanilla extract, brown sugar, spices, and cornstarch until smooth.
  5. Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread evenly and layer with pumpkin filling before topping with remaining brownie batter.
  6. Bake for approximately 50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
