Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangos (peeled & diced) or 1 ½ cups frozen mango (thawed & drained)
  • 23 habanero peppers (stemmed & seeded)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Sauté the minced garlic and habanero peppers in olive oil over medium heat for about 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a blender, add diced mango, honey (or maple syrup), apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and water. Blend until smooth.
  3. Return the blended sauce to the saucepan and simmer on medium-low heat for 10–12 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Taste the sauce and adjust sweetness or tanginess as preferred.
  5. Allow to cool before storing in jars; keep in the refrigerator for up to 7–10 days.
