- 8 sheets of phyllo dough
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semolina flour
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup honey, warmed
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer 7 sheets of phyllo dough in the greased dish, brushing each with melted butter.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together semolina flour, eggs, sugar, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth. Pour over the phyllo base.
- Place the last sheet of phyllo on top, score lightly with a knife, and brush with more melted butter.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden brown and set in the center. Let cool for 10 minutes.
- Drizzle warm honey over the pie and garnish with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
