- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1/2 cup bell pepper, finely diced (optional)
- 48 Ritz crackers, crushed
- 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup ketchup for the glaze
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar for the glaze
- 1 teaspoon mustard for the glaze
