- 1 1/2 cups Cake Flour
- 2 tsp. corn starch
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup cold, unsalted butter, cubed (16 Tbsp.)
- 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup packed brown sugar (light or dark)
- 6 Tbsp. softened butter
- 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, softened butter, and cinnamon until smooth for the filling.
- In a large bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cake flour, corn starch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- In your stand mixer, cream cold cubed butter until fluffy; add granulated sugar and mix until smooth.
- Incorporate eggs and vanilla extract into the creamed mixture.
- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture until fully combined.
