  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
  • 6 slices turkey bacon (chopped)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside while leaving the grease in the pan.
  2. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  3. Stir in the cooked turkey bacon along with beef broth, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if desired.
  4. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  5. Add butter for richness, allowing it to melt into the chili before serving.
