Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (sourdough or whole wheat recommended)
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices of cooked turkey bacon
  • 2 tablespoons of blackberry jam
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  2. Spread 1 tablespoon of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer 2 slices of cheddar cheese, followed by turkey bacon, and spread 1 tablespoon of blackberry jam.
  4. Top with the other slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
  5. Heat the skillet again and place sandwiches inside. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Flip carefully using a spatula and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes until cheese is melted and both sides are golden.
  7. Slice in half and serve warm.
