  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 package (14 oz) refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion until softened, then add minced garlic.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Stir in spices, salt, and pepper.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  5. Roll out the pie crusts on a floured surface and cut into 4-inch circles.
  6. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture onto each circle, fold over to seal, and crimp edges with a fork.
  7. Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
